More DFW Media Want Wade Fired

Tim Cowlishaw of the Morning News said Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips needed to be fired.

Today, Jen Engel of the Star-Telegram writes Wade must go.

Jen says Jerry needs to give the job to Jason Garrett. WRONG.

Right now Jason Garrett can’t run the offense.  So, I don’t think he is qualified to run the team right now.

Wade Phillips Is On The Hot Seat Now

The Cowboys 20 point loss in St. Louis means one thing: head coach Wade Phillips is on the hot seat now.

Coach Cupcake has to stop giving the Boys milk and cookies for losing to bad teams.

Wade knew coming into the season he had to win.  He had to make the playoffs and win at least two games or Jerry Jones was going to look for another man to lead his team.

The seat is hot because if the Cowboys don’t start playing with some purpose and with fire they may not make the playoffs.  Forget winning the NFC East, just getting wild card sounds nice right now.

Phillips said he was known as Mr. Fix It, well the Cowboys are broken and he has 9 games to get the team right or he will be find a pink slip under his door.

Jones has to fill a new stadium next year.  He will not be able to sell the PSL’s he wants if Phillips can’t get this team to the playoffs and win.  This mess is Jerry’s creation, but he won’t fire himself.

Wade better start on Sunday by beating Tampa at Texas Stadium.

Tim Cowlishaw of the Morning News wants Wade fired NOW.

Jerry Jones Fires The Babysitters

Since the NFL suspended Pacman, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones decided to fire the 4-man security/babysitting team he had in place for Pacman Jones.

Pacman is free to roam the streets of Dallas all he wants.   Sorry, I don’t see him cleaning up his act.  I think he’s played his last game for the Dallas Cowboys.

NBC Sports Is Hard On The Cowboys

You can always count on NBC Sports columnists to come down hard on the Cowboys.

Tom Curran has been a longtime critic of head coach Wade Phillips.  He hates the trade of Roy Williams.  Curran is slamming the Cowboys for not suspending Pacman Jones too.

Now Steve Silverman of chops up the Cowboys. is dicing up Jerry Jones.

Brad Johnson Just Got A Lot Better

Brad Johnson now has Roy Williams and Terrell Owens to throw to.  Patrick Crayton will get some single coverage and Jason Witten will also get a bunch of single coverage as well.

Johnson is 40, but these weapons will make him feel young again this Sunday in St. Louis.

What about T.O.?  Matt Mosley of writes Mr. Owens is happy about the trade of Williams.

Felix Jones Out Two Weeks

Black Injury Monday continutes…

Rookie running back Felix Jones will miss two weeks according to Mickey Spagnola.

Pacman Cover Up

What did you expect the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to do?  Admit Pacman Jones was drunk and fought his team issued bodyguard and broke a mirror at a Dallas hotel.  Come on now.

Cover up is what Jerry Jones does best.

Ask Michael Irvin how he made out nicely after stabbing teammate Everett McIver with scissors back in the glory days.

Jerry had his “story” about the fight, “These guys were joking, were kidding, having fun, right up until the time they went into the restroom,” said Jerry Jones, no relation to either of the bathroom brawlers. “It crossed over into more than that, and it ended quickly.”

No mention that Pacman was allegedly drunk and got his butt kicked by Tommy Jones. Deion Sanders went on the NFL network and said no alcohol was involved. So why did Jerry say about alcohol, “The amount or nature of it — I do know that alcohol was served, I couldn’t verify who was and who wasn’t having a drink, but I do know that I was told first-hand by the witnesses that [Pacman’s] conduct should not be interpreted as over-drinking.”

Jerry said he will take no action against Pacman and hopes the NFL commish Roger Goodell won’t either.

In other words, they need Pacman to play Sunday in Arizona because Terence Newman is out and right now Pacman is the best corner they have.  Oh yeah, the Cardinals like to sling the ball around a lot.

T.O. Is A Victim…Again

I give Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens a lot of credit, he knows how to play the blame game and make sure he is always in a position of being a victim when things get hot.

Michael Irvin has a radio show in DFW and he is an unabashed T.O. apologist.  Today, Irvin had T.O. so he could explain his press conference and how the media is “trying to divide this team”.

Owens said part of his tears and emotions Sunday were the loss of a family member.  He did not say who the family member was during the radio interview.

Cowboys Lose

The Redskins came out and played a better football game.

Two stats tell the game.  161 yards of rushing and 38 minutes time of possession.

The Redskins controlled the clock and kept the Cowboys offense off the field.  Nice job by rookie head coach Jim Zorn.

The Cowboys only ran the ball 11 times.  That is shameful.

Marion Barber only had 8 carries.  I’m sorry isn’t he a Pro Bowl running back?

Jason Garrett is the highest paid NFL assistant and he didn’t do a good job of halftime adjustments and he gave up on the run too quick.

Brian Stewart’s defense had 12 men on the field and lost the opportunity to get the ball and time back in the 4th quarter.  Even head coach Wade Phillips couldn’t defend it.

My Cowboys Crystal Ball

I’m looking into the crystal ball and it’s telling me the Cowboys will win today over the Redskins.

I am looking deep…..very deep for a score.

Cowboys 32  Redskins 17.

BTW, I’m 3-0 on my picks this year.  I was one of the bold media who picked the Cowboys to win in Green Bay last week.
