Greg Ellis Calls Out Cowboys Organization

Greg Ellis was one of the few, the proud, the speaking Cowboys in the locker room today.

T.O. didn’t speak.

Ellis called out the team for not putting its best foot forward.  My boys at the Morning News blog are all over it.

Coach Wade Phillips is too soft on these guys right now.  Owner Jerry Jones is out there covering for Pacman Jones.  Tony Romo’s turnovers haven’t been addressed, the defense has not played up to snuff, and Ellis is the guy who says we need to get better.

Good for you Greg.

“I’m just disappointed in this organization right now,” said Ellis, who is in his 11th year with the Cowboys. “From the whole deal of it. Things just aren’t going real good.

“Before the game, I said everybody’s got to take part in this football team – the strength coaches, the coaches, the owners, the head coaches. This football team is truly a team sport. You need everybody to win. Everybody has to do their best for us to win. Right now, I feel like we — players, Greg Ellis included, all of us — we’re just not putting our best foot forward right now.”

Media Allowed To Watch Cowboys OTA’s

The voluntary practices continue at Valley Ranch for the Cowboys.  For some reason the media think it’s a big deal that Roy Williams is back at the OTA’s after skipping last week.  Roy went on a cruise with his family.

Linebacker Greg Ellis was missing today.  Should we be alarmed?  I just don’t think it is a big deal.  It is voluntary.

My man Nick Eatman has more from dallascowboys.com.
