Carolina’s Steve Smith Could Be On The Trade Block

I was talking to my old radio partner Brian Estridge gave some skinny on Steve Smith of the Panthers who recently broke the nose of his teammate Ken Lucas at practice.

Lucas will miss 2 to 3 weeks of action.  Smith was suspended two days for his attack on a teammate.

The fight started over Lucas’ recent nosejob.  Seriously.

Apparently owner Jerry Richardson is tired of Smith’s ways.  It’s not the first time Smith has gone after a teammate.

If Richardson wants to move him the Dallas Cowboys are in the market for a speedy receiver.

The Panthers don’t have a 1st round pick in next year’s draft either, but if I’m Jerry Jones I only offer a second round pick.  I’m not sure I’d even want Smith on the Cowboys.  He’s seems to be a Me guy and they just don’t need that right now.

Smith could be one heck of a talent.  His stock is real low so maybe it’s worth a phone call on Jerry’s part. Smith image is in the toilet right now.

Should the Cowboys make a trade for him…discuss

No, he isn’t a good fit in Jerry Jones’s half way house for wayward players. Yeah on the field he could offer some threat but I don’t see his personality working with our chemistry.
