Pacman Jones Pleads His Case On 103.3 FM

pacman.jpgTitans suspended cornerback, Pacman Jones, took his case to the DFW radio airwaves on the Michael Irvin show on my old radio station ESPN 103.3 FM.

Irvin kept calling him by his first name, Adam.  I don’t know why.  Well I do, Irvin is playing consultant and trying to get him on the Cowboys the way he did for Terrell Owens.

I wrote a column last Saturday in the Star-Telegram  the Cowboys might really want to take a hard look at trading for him.

I found his three hours of radio a tad boring and it was frustrating to listen to him butcher the English language.  Tim MacMahon has all the details in his Blog.

Pacman says he wants a second chance in the NFL.  He is swearing off strip clubs for the  next three to four years, but after that… all bets are off.  The rain will come down again.

If Jerry Jones can send a 5th round pick to Tennessee for Pacman he should do it.

Channel 11 & Cowboys Draft Board

I got a email about my blog on the Cowboys draft board that was shown on Channel 11.

The Cowboys inhouse production team shot it, not KTVT-TV. My bad. The Dawg is sorry.

The fine folks at KTVT just aired it. (They have their logo all over it). They didn’t produce it.

It aired on CBS 11, a show I think the Cowboys call the Blitz, not many people watched it. More people watch reruns of Friends that late on Sunday night.

I did check the ratings time slot. Last week, March 23, 2008, that show got a 0.7 rating in total households. Six other shows beat it during that time slot.

Cowboys Draft Board Exposed By CBS 11

They call it coverage you can count on.   CBS 11 is the Cowboys official station and they officially hosed the Cowboys by filming their draft board and running a story which showed it in the background.

Deadspin  and the Morning News  have the stories.

The video clip shows the Cowboys rankings for defensive backs, a need the have in next month’s NFL draft.

Blogging the Boys says this who the Cowboys have ranked on their board:

#1 DRC

#2 Leodis McKelvin

#3 Kenny Phillips (S)

#4 Mike Jenkins

#5 Aqib Talib

#6 Either Tyrell Johnson or Josh Barrett (S)

#7 Looks like Charles Godfrey from Iowa

The Ghost Of Jerome Iginla

Maybe you forgot, Calgary’s all world talent, Jerome Iginla was drafted by the Dallas Stars…then they traded him in December of 1995.

Mike Heika of the Morning News reminds us all.

Let’s Make It Rain! Pacman Jones Come On Down

If the Cowboys want to trade for Tennessee’s suspended, problem child, making it rain in stripsclubs, shutdown corner, and accomplished kick returner Adam “Pacman” Jones, do it.

My boy Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News says the Cowboys are looking at dealing a low round draft pick for him.

Yep, just do it.  He’s fine in the locker room but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones needs to find him a babysitter once he leaves Valley Ranch.

The Cowboys only have two legit corners on the roster right now.  Anthony Henry and Terence Newman will be 30 years old this season.

Has Avery Johnson Lost Mark Cuban’s Support?

Reports in both local papers say Mavericks head coach Avery Johnson and owner Mark Cuban had a shouting match after the Mavs lost to the Lakers Tuesday night.

A game in which the Mavericks were down 25-points.  The Mavericks haven’t beaten a team with a winning record in a month.

This has everyone in Maverickland in a bad mood.

The Mavs are the 7th seed in the playoffs and they face Boston, who happens, to have the best record in the NBA, tonight in Dallas.  I’d advise Avery and Co. to win.

For more scoop on this check out Mavs insider Mike Fisher’s story.
