Forget Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett possibly moving on, losing Tony Sparano will be a big time loss. He served as the offensive line coach and help coordinate the offense.
Garrett gets all this love, but I’m telling you, Sparano was legit. He called plays Bill Parcells last year with the Cowboys and they had a top five offense. Don’t think Garrett didn’t lean on him this year, his first as a coordinator.
As the Cowboys tight ends coach, Jason Witten made the Pro Bowl. When Parcells made him the offensive line coach, Flozell Adams, Andre Gurode, and Leonard Davis made the Pro Bowl. Sparano was a darn good position coach.
The contracts of coaches Todd Bowles and Paul Pasqualoni are going to expire. Either could become the defensive coordinator and/or assistant head coach in Miami. I don’t expect either to be back.
Tony can coach. I’m glad to see a guy who waited and treated people with class gets his shot.
