The Cowboys Need To Draft A WR

The Cowboys must use one of their 2008 first round NFL Draft picks on a wide receiver.

Terry Glenn missed 15 games this season with a knee injury and Terrell Owens will miss the final regular season game with a high ankle sprain.

Patrick Crayton is a free agent.

Glenn and Owens are both in their mid 30’s. It’s time to spend a top pick on a wide out.

The Cowboys have done it in the past and been done well. Michael Irvin in 1988 and Alvin Harper in 1991. They have tried to land guys in the second round and it hasn’t worked out so well:

Jimmy Smith in 1992. Smith went on to a great career in Jacksonville.

Kevin Williams in 1993. Former Miami Hurricane was more of a special teams returner.

Antonio Bryant in 2002. Great talent, ten cent head. Out of football because of attitude.

It’s time to go get another receiver playmaker for Tony Romo and the offense.
