Cowboys Go Green

Man, it was a blowout performance by the Cowboys from the first play when defensive end, Marcus Spears stripped Eagle QB Donovan McNabb and Bradie James recovered. The Cowboys would score to make it 7-0 on a Julius Jones TD run.

The Cowboys defense forced two first-half turnovers that led to 14 points and a 21-7 lead at the half.

T.O. was awesome in this game with 10 catches for 174 yards and a score. Tony Romo showed his fresh cash was well deserved with another 300-yard passing game and 3 TD passes, but trust me folks, the defense was amazing.

You win in this league by winning the turnover battle and converting on 3rd downs. The defense was on target there, only allowing 40% to Philly’s offense. On the other side, the Cowboys convert 80% on 3rd down. That means they are keeping the football and scoring points.

The Eagles had 3 turnovers…including 2 picks of McNabb. One of those was by Anthony Henry who came back from a high ankle sprain.

The offensive line was tremendous. No sacks allowed.

Great job by head coach Wade Phillips to have his team ready after the bye week to play and win on the road. Next week, the Cowboys have a battle for first place in the Meadowlands against the New York Giants.
