Romo Making Dough

Cowboys quarterbackTony Romo is a free agent after the season. His five touchdowns in the opener mean his price tag just keeps going up and up.

Romo tried to downplay it in the locker during his media session. Smart move. You don’t want your contract played out in the media. Ask Cowboys linebacker Greg Ellis how it worked out for him.

This week’s game in Miami is another chance for Romo to show the nation what he can do. It’s a late game on Fox.

Romo also passed for 345 yards in that 45-35 win over the Giants. That was a career high.

The longer Jerry Jones waits to pay Romo, the price goes up. Jones doesn’t have a problem writing a check. He just wants to be right. I think Romo will be fine and it will be money well spent.
