Great Move By The Cowboys

Jerry Jones has made former Cowboys, Ron Springs and Everson Walls, honorary captains for the season opener against the New York Giants. You can see that game on NBC 5.

Walls donated a kidney to Springs earlier this year. Now they have a foundation. The Cowboys will hand out 40,000 rally towels promoting the Gift For Life Foundation created by Walls and Springs September 9th at the game.

In a class move, coach Wade Phillips allowed Walls and Springs to address the club after practice.

Wade has brought a lot of the Cowboys back into the fold. Barry Switzer, Lee Roy Jordan, James Washington, and Jay Novacek are a few of the Cowboys who have come around training camp.

The Cowboys need to tap into their rich history. Bill Parcells never did. He would bring in his Giants guys. Jim Burt and Carl Banks made trips to Camp Tuna.
