Is A Punter Worth Big Dollars?

The punter gets paid! Now we now what Jerry Jones is doing with the money he’s saved from not having to pay Bill Parcells and Mike Zimmer almost 6 million dollars.

Pro Bowl punter, Mat McBriar is living large.

He’s got a new deal for 5-year deal for 8.5 million dollars. That’s top cash for a punter in the NFL. He’ll get 2 million up front.

I think he’s worth it. Special teams gets overlooked too often. During the Dave Campo the club couldn’t find a guy worth a salt.

When you get backed up deep in your own red zone a great punter can get you out of a jam and that’s what McBriar brings to the table for the Cowboys.

He led the NFL in punting with a 48.2-yard gross average. McBriar also had 22 punts inside the 20 and had a career-best 75-yarder.
