Jason Garrett

The Cowboys brought in Jason Garrett for an interview today.

It’s for the offensive coordinator job and the head coaching job.

I could see Garrett calling plays, but I don’t think he’s ready for the job of handling America’s Team… yet.

Garrett played on two Cowboys championship teams in the 90’s. He was coached by Norv Turner and Ernie Zampese, two great playcallers.

He’s the QB coach in Miami. He did an amazing job with Joey Harrington last season. Don’t discount that work. Tony Romo needs a guy in his corner.

Since Todd Haley will probably end up in Arizona, Garrett would be a good choice to run the offense if Jerry Jones looks to hire a defensive guy like Wade Phillips.

Of course I still like Mike Martz as the man to be the next head coach of the Cowboys.
