The Stars have won two games and now the peeps in Detroit are worried about a choke job.
Read this one in the Free Press.
Steve Schrader wonders if the Wings lost their mojo. He writes: “It’s not like Wings fans haven’t been burned before.
So, we’re not saying any of this is going to happen in tonight’s Game 6 of the Western Conference finals in Dallas, we’re just saying, what if …
… the Wings lost their mojo?
… Marty Turco comes up with another really good game?
… Chris Osgood has a bad game, something he hasn’t done yet? Would the Wings be tempted … nah, they couldn’t go back to Dominik Hasek now.
… the Stars are all confident and full of themselves after Saturday’s big win at the Joe?
… Brett Hull has been right all along, and he really is a hockey genius?”
Ace Free Press columnist Mitch Albom is sweating too.
Add Bob Wojnowski of the Detroit News to the list of chicken littles.
It would be fun if the Stars forced game seven. Game six is tonight in Dallas.

Steve Scharder of the Detroit Free Press doesn’t think much of Stars goalie, Marty Turco. He wrote the following on May 4th. He wondered which team the Wings wanted to face, the Stars or Sharks.
• Goalies. Always start with the goalies.
The Stars have Marty Turco, a Michigan Man who has never beaten the Wings at the Joe. Overall, he’s 2-10-5 against them. And he often doesn’t save his best stuff for the playoffs.

I was one of them. 1:24 am is what my cell phone read when Brendan Morrow scored in the 4th Overtime.
Stars Advance In Playoffs…Thank Goodness

I didn’t want to see the Stars lose at home and go to the O.C. for Game 7 against the Ducks. I just didn’t want to see that. The odds would have been against them.
Stars co-GM Brett Hull said as much before the game. We got a chance to talk hockey. Hull is such a great guy and he truly cares about the game of hockey.
Hull said it’s tough to watch from the press box because he sees things on the ice and he can’t do a thing about it.
The Stars came out and won Game 6 with a tremendous 52 seconds of play in the final period. Down 1-0 the scored on a power play and came right back and scored the game winner.
They shut things down behind goalie Marty Turco and ended the series with a 4-1 win.
Stephane Robidas was the hero with the 1st goal and an assist on Stu Barnes game winner.
So the Stars advance to the semi finals for the first time in five years. TSN has a nice write up about the series clincher as well.
