Rivera Is Still A Good Coach

Certain people think that Bears Defensive Coordinator Ron Rivera blew his shot at the Cowboys head coaching job because the Bears lost Super Bowl XLI. Losing the game did not make him dogmeat.

My gosh, Tom Landry lost three Super Bowl games and Don Shula lost the game four times. Those men are in the Hall of Fame.

The Bears defense was on the field for 81 plays!!! Sorry, any defense that stays on the field that long will get worn down.

The Chicago’s offense didn’t to the D any favors. Just 1 of 5 on 3rd downs in the 1st half and just 2 of 5 in the second half. Folks, games in the NFL are won on 3rd down conversions.

Rex Grossman and company kept giving the Colts the football back. Indy held the ball for 38:04!

The defense forced three turnovers but the Chicago offense only converted those into 7 points.

Rivera can coach. Jones can’t look at the outcome of one game and dismiss the great work he has done.

Look for a new Cowboys head coach by the end of the week.
